No room for violators of law in Naya Pakistan: CM Buzdar

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Wednesday asserted that there was no room for the violators of law in the Naya Pakistan.

According to a statement released from the ministry, CM Usman Buzdar said that Punjab government had fulfilled the promise of providing justice with regard to Sahiwal tragedy. He said that the provincial government had taken action against the responsible of Sahiwal incident within 72 hours as per its promise.

The chief minister said,” Punjab government is committed to its promise of providing justice; responsible persons have been identified in the light of initial JIT report and legal action has been initiated against them.”

He said that the PTI-led government would uphold the rule of law in the country at any cost and added that they would go to the last extent to ensure the implementation of law.

Earlier, the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) in its initial report had declared character of Zeeshan ‘suspicious’, while Khalil and his family members had been declared innocent on January 22.

Sources privy to the matter had said the victims of Sahiwal shootout Khalil and his family had been cleared, while suspicion had shown over owner of the vehicle, Zeeshan.
