Nothing wrong proved in JIT report against Nawaz: PML-N

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leaders on Sunday said nothing wrong has been proved against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the Panama case Joint Investigation Report (JIT) report and he will emerge successful in the Supreme Court as well.

Addressing a joint news conference in Islamabad on Sunday, Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhary and MNA Daniyal Aziz said Nawaz Sharif presented himself and his three generations for accountability.

They said nothing wrong was proved against the prime minister as the JIT report remained under perusal and discussion in the Supreme Court last week.

Tariq Fazal Chaudhary said after failure to compete Nawaz Sharif in the court of the people through performance, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan has pinned hopes on the apex court but Nawaz will also succeed there.

He said that the PTI chief who has been asking others for accountability could not produce even a single record of his own assets.

Speaking on the occasion MNA Daniyal Aziz said the premier will succeed in the next general elections while Imran Khan`s trail of political failures will continue.

He also said the perception the JIT tried to give of Nawaz’s offshore properties was wrong. Everything was made clear to the probing team, he added.

Separately, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah alleged that Imran earned money through match-fixing and gambling.

He said the PTI chief played cricket in 1970s and it did not offer much money back then.

“The one asking for accountability of 40 years of earned money, failed to produce money trail of 20 years of assets,” he said.
