Overwhelming Response: Enthusiasts throng to purchase PSL Final’s tickets

LAHORE: Lahore needs a big stadium which accommodates thousands of cricket enthusiasts who thronged in the city to purchase tickets for Pakistan Super League (PSL) final, which is scheduled to be held in the city on March 05.

The stunning response of the cricket enthusiasts can be assessed from the fact that the tickets of seven enclosures of Gaddafi Stadium declared ‘house full’ within six to eight hours of the opening of the ticket windows.

The tickets of the stadium’s most expensive Imran Khan, Fazal Mehmood, Waseem Akran and Waqar Younus enclosures, having Rs. 12000 price tag have already been booked.

All seats of Abdul Hafeez Kardar, Rameez Raja and Javed Miandad enclosures, which have price tag of Rs 8000, have also been booked.

Moreover, five enclosures of Rs. 4000 tickets have also been booked to the brim.

People rushed to banks where tickets were being sold as ticket sales for the PSL final began on Wednesday. The online sale of the tickets closed after all tickets were sold out by noon.

Cricket lovers from all parts of the country rushed to Lahore to find cheap tickets at the designated bank branches but mostly disappointed after failing to purchase Rs 500 lowest price tickets which were sold out.
