According to a press release by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first call between the DGMOs of the two countries was made today.
The DGMOs discussed military-to-military issues, modalities, dates of meetings between the corps commanders of the two sides along with measures to enhance coordination along the border.
The development comes within a week since the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif visited Afghanistan and held key meeting with senior civil and military leaders across the border.
