Earlier, Islamabad won the toss earlier today and chose to bat. They scored 315 for loss of eight wickets.
Wicketkeeper-captain Kamran Akmal was the lead scorer at 134 which comprised of 14 fours and 5 sixes. Opener Imam-ul-Haq also scored a magnificent 102 including ten boundaries.
Bilawal Bhatti took three wickets while Usama Mir dismissed 2 players including one run-out.
Balochistan team put a solid performance with most players reaching the double-digit mark. Captain Azhar Ali scored 80 including 6 fours and 3 sixes. Umar Akmal also played well scoring 59 including 6 fours and 2 sixes.
It reached the seemingly improbable target with 2 balls to spare.
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa team has already qualified for the final of the Pakistan Cup defeating Sindh yesterday. After this loss Islamabad is out of contention for the final. Balochistan will have to face the winner of the Sindh and Punjab match to be held on Friday.
