Pakistan Day to be celebrated with military parade

All business and shops are closed as Pakistanis are celebrating Pakistan Resolution Day.

This year the war ravaged country will also witness a military parade on Pakistan Day after seven years at the newly constructed Parade Ground in Islamabad.

Full dress rehearsal of the parade was held on Saturday.

President of Pakistan will confer awards and medals on different people for their outstanding performance in different fields on the memorable day while Radio and Television channels will broadcast special programs on the occasion and newspapers will publish special supplements.

National flag will be hoisted on all government buildings

As a part of security arrangements, mobile Services will remain suspended in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi from 6:00 in morning to 2:00 afternoon.

Pakistan Day or Pakistan Resolution Day is a national holiday in Pakistan to commemorate the Lahore Resolution of 1940, a formal political statement adopted by the All-India Muslim League for the creation of Pakistan.
