According to Radio Pakistan, Dr. Maleeha Lodhi made the statement while speaking in a United Nation Security Council debate on counter terrorism.
Lodhi urged the world fraternity to defeat terrorism in all its forms by joining hands effectively and urgently.
Lodhi added that the country has always stood at the front of the global fight against terrorism and thousands of lives have been lost. She went on to say that the country’s resolve to end terrorists have not been shaken in the fight.
She said that Operation Zarb-e-Azb was the largest anti-terror drive anywhere in the world. She added that operations are being carried out against terror cells, supporters and their sympathizers.
