Pakistan-India Foreign Secretaries hold talks

During the meeting matters of mutual interest including contentious issues of Jammu and Kashmir, Siachen and Sir Creek were discussed.

The Indian Foreign Secretary also called on his counterpart Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry, Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary. The two officials discussed bilateral relations and matters pertaining to SAARC.

They also talked about ways to resume the dialogue process between the two countries to move forward for resolution of outstanding issues.

On the occasion, Aizaz Ahmad and  Subrahmanyam Jaishankar highlighted the need to reduce tension across Pakistan-India border.
