It should be noted that Pakistan has not won a test series against Australia since 1994. The green shirts are currently having a dismal campaign as they lost the only T20 and suffered a 3-0 whitewash in the one day series at the hands of the Kangaroos earlier.
Australia will move to the top of the International Cricket Council (ICC) test rankings if they give a 2-0 whitewash to the Pakistan team.
The green shirts will have to rely on captain Misbah-ul-Haq, Younis Khan and Mohammad Hafeez whereas bowlers Saeed Ajmal, Mohammad Irfan, Junaid Khan and Wahab Riaz have been dropped from the side today.
Pakistani coach Waqar Younus has said that his side has capacity to beat the Australians and hoped that Misbah-ul-Haq regains his form in the test series.
On the other hand, Australia will have the team moral high as they started the tour in a successful fashion. They will be eyeing the top spot in the rankings.
The Australians will be playing a test match for the first time in Dubai.
The match will start at 11:00 A.M. Pakistan Standard Time (PST).
