Pakistan to be ranked in top 25 economies by 2025, says Iqbal

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said that Pakistan will be ranked in the top 25 economies of the world by 2025, ARY News reported.

He made the statement while addressing a laptop distribution ceremony in Virtual University in Lahore on Saturday.

The minister said that authentic agencies of the world are praising the speedy progress of Pakistan, which was once called as the most dangerous country.

Iqbal said that a military dictator had isolated Balochistan from Pakistan. “The same Balochistan is progressing today after joining the national fold,” he added.

The planning minister went on to say that that economic policies and reforms also requires peace and stability.

“Foreign investment is taking place in the country. All countries were deserting Pakistan but now everyone wants to join Pakistan China Economic Corridor (CPEC),” he said.

Iqbal said that this is the age of knowledge and the federal government is paying attention to provide education to the youth of Pakistan. He added that the government is giving laptops to students under the laptop scheme to move ahead in their studies.

“Only those nations having latest communication systems and using modern technology will be able to attain higher socio-economic development,” the minister stated.
