Pakistani migrant dies fleeing from Hungarian police

The refugee crisis in Hungary has taken a turn for the worse, with a stand-off ensuing between the Hungarian police and an estimated 300 refugees who broke free from the Roszke camp near the Syrian border.

The situation escalated when Hungarian policed fired tear-gas at the refugees, who scampered and fled from the police. A Pakistani man, in an attempt to flee from the police, accidentally fell on the railway tracks and died as a result. A tweet from Sky News confirmed it:-

According to UNHCR, Pakistan is the largest refugee hosting country in the world. There are currently 1.6 million registered refugees in Pakistan, mostly from neighbouring Afghanistan. Afghanistan, on the other hand, is the world’s largest source of refugees, with an estimated 2.6 million refugees in the world.
