Project Director of Bagh-e-Jinnah Shahid Iqbal said the snake was a female python. He said its weight was measured to be 40 kilograms and its length was 10-foot.

He suspected that python belonged to the zoological garden, however, Lahore’s Zoo has denied the claim. The zoo also said the snake was not poisonous.
