It is fascinating to know that to the contrary the previous government failed to provide any such facility to the masses during its tenure.
Former Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in October 2016 dropped a bombshell on the residents of Punjab by announcing that gas supply will remain suspended across Punjab between 10:00pm and 05:00am during winters.
Which left Punjabis without adequate gas to burn heater and oven all those cold nights. The then federal minister for petroleum and natural resources had said Punjab would receive 40 percent less gas than the demand.
He said the gas loadshedding would be applied on domestic consumers as well and the gas loadshedding had already started in different areas after increase in demand.
