Fans stage demonstration demanding inclusion of Sammy in Windies T20 squad

Valiant Peshawar Zalmi skipper who owned the Pakistan Super League (PSL) to such an extent that at one point he even defied the serious injury to win a match that ultimately injected new spirit in the league.

For the confidence with which he bludgeons the ball and his shrewd strategies that draw victory, he is a hero for Pakistanis, specially after his unconditional support for the revival of the game in the cricket-starved country.

He was one of the most prominent foreign players in the last two PSL editions to visit Pakistan.

Affection for Sammy in Pakistanis’ hearts can be canvassed through the fact that in the PSL 3 final in Karachi there were more Zalmi supporters than those who were rooting for Islamabad United.

Sammy also loves the locals as much. He has even learnt some Urdu and Pashto phrases and sentences.
