PIA air hostess arrested for theft at Paris shopping mall

PARIS: An air hostess of the Pakistan International Airline (PIA) was reportedly taken into custody for theft at a shopping centre here, ARY News reported.

Afshan Khalid, was detained for five hours by French police for stealing cosmetic stuff at the shopping centre.

PIA station manager stepped in and helped her getting released. The arrest took place, after the air hostess was spotted stealing articles at a shop, through CCTV cameras.

All robbed stuff was recovered from the air hostess. Moreover, French officials released her with warnings that she might face trial in case she revisited the country.

It is not first time that a PIA staff member was caught red-handed while pilfering as previously such cases had also come to light in Canada and United Kingdom.
