ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Sunday congratulated the entire nation on the successful holding of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
In a statement, he said the revival of sports activities, growth of economy and restoration of peace were an evidence of the government`s performance, according to the state-run Radio Pakistan.
He said it was due to the vision of the federal government, cooperation of provincial governments and significant role of armed forces and law enforcement agencies that peace has been restored in Karachi.
Abbasi said PSL has infused a new spirit in the whole nation and will also portray a positive image of the remarkable and unraveled city of lights, Karachi.
He said the government will keep working with same passion and zeal towards national peace and prosperity.
Separately, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major Gen Asif Ghafoor said in a tweet: “PSL Final brings more glitters to ‘City of Lights’.”
“Thanks to PCB, foreign players, govt administration, security apparatus and the resilient Pakistanis. Terrorism imposed on us is on the way out; we are on the way to our rightful destination of enduring peace and stability, IA.”
