ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered an inquiry into Rawal Chowk Flyover project and directed to complete the projects of public interest in a timely manner.
Speaking to media as he reviewed the construction work on Rawal Chowk Flyover project in Islamabad, the prime minister regretted that a blacklisted company was awarded the contract of the project.
He directed to hold an inquiry into it through a third party and further noted that the work on the project, which was started in October 2020, could not be completed yet due to the inability of the company.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recalled that such projects used to be completed in a matter of six months in the past. He said the people are faced with difficulties due to flawed planning.

Rawal Chowk Fly over project by September this year and that no compromise be made on its quality.Two days back, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif regretted delay of four years in completion of Peshawar Morr to New Islamabad International Airport Metro Bus project and ordered an inquiry to probe the delay.
The prime minister visited the Metro Bus Service in Islamabad on Thursday morning where he was briefed by the CDA and NHA officials about the project.
Shehbaz Sharif directed to constitute a committee for inquiry into the delay and said that Rs16 billion had already been spent on the project.
“The metro bus service should have the facility for the passengers to carry luggage,” he said and further directed to establish a metro bus station on the motorway.
