He was chairing a meeting to review progress on the implementation of NAP in Islamabad on Tuesday. He said special courts are an extraordinary solution of an extraordinary problem. He said all institutions would carefully scrutinize cases before prosecution in the special military tribunals.
The Prime Minister said only those cases will be referred to the special courts, which relate to hardcore terrorists responsible for mass murder of innocent civilians, children and jawans of law enforcement agencies.
Mr. Sharif said we have isolated terrorists with our unity and will make sure that we remain united against those who killed the innocent children. The PM said our future and ultimate objective is a peaceful and secure Pakistan and our armed forces have paved the way for it through operation Zarb-e-Azb.
Federal Ministers Khawaja Asif, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Pervaiz Rashid; Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan; Ahsan Iqbal; Abdul Qadir Baloch; Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan; Advisor to PM on National Security Sartaj Aziz, Chief of the Army Staff, General Raheel Sharif; Special Assistant to PM, Barrister Zafarullah Khan, DG ISI, DG MO and Secretary Interior attended the meeting.
The meeting also reviewed actions being planned to block terror financing and breaking the terror communication network. Progress on action against illegal SIMS was also came under review.
