LAHORE: Federal Minister for Railways Khwaja Saad Rafique said Imran Khan demonstrated ‘prudence’ by distancing himself from a meeting in London called by PML-Q and Dr. Tahirul Qadri-led Pakistan Awami Tehreek, ARY News reported Monday.
Addressing a seminar in Lahore, Rafique said with indirect reference to opposition alliance formation that Dr. Tahirul Qadri must fulfill his wishes.
“A former chief justice can be ridiculed but not a former army chief,” said the railway minister.
PTI Punjab president Ejaz Chaudhary and other speakers said a final battle had begun between hidden forces and democratic ones. “In practice, there is a martial law in the country,” they believed.
