Police arrest 65 PTI workers in Quetta

QUETTA: Crackdown against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and workers continues across Pakistan including Quetta, after violent protests, ARY News reported. 

Violent protests against the arrest of former premier Imran Khan continued in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Islamabad and other parts of the country for the third consecutive day on Thursday.

As per details, police have arrested as many as 65 Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers involved in ‘violent protests’ from Quetta.

In a raid at the provincial secretariat of PTI in Quetta, police arrested 12 PTI workers while in Dukki, PTI’s district president was taken into custody along with 4 party workers.

Meanwhile, former deputy speaker National Assembly and Senior Vice President of PTI, Qasim Suri, Mubeen Khilji, Munir Baloch and others have been booked by the police over violent protests.

It may be noted that at least seven people died and hundreds were injured in the violent protests being held by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf supporters across the country against the arrest of party chief Imran Khan.

Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan was arrested by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in the Al-Qadir Trust case on Tuesday.
