Unknown assailants waylaid a cop in North Karachi area who was riding a motorbike and opened fire on him. The officer died on the spot. The attackers fled the scene, sparking tension in the area.
Law enforcers reached the spot and began investigation.
In another incident, armed miscreants gunned down a man in Haideri area. The man was aboard a car when the criminals attacked him. He was identified as Khurram. Sources told that the deceased man was affiliated with a political party.
