According to details, two people were killed and more than 320 people were wounded during clashes between PTI and PAT workers at Constitution Avenue area in the federal capital.
Hundreds of tear gas shells were fired at the protesters that were heading towards the Prime Minister House.
Reporters of different media channels were also attacked and their cameras were also smashed by the cops.
PAT Chairman Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri has held Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan responsible for the incident.
Imran Khan, Chairman PTI, said that the rulers have crossed all limits of tyranny. He added that a First Information Report (FIR) will be filed against Sharif Brothers.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Vice President PTI, said that party is considering to take legal action against the police brutality.
Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Liaquat Baloch, speaking exclusively to ARY News, said that all political parties have the right to stage peaceful protests and demonstrations. He added that participants of Azadi March and Inqilaab March were peaceful.
President of Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) Hamid Raza said that the government demonstrated brutality in the guise of democracy.
Leader of Majlis-e-Wahdatul Muslimeen (MWM) Raja Nasir Abbas, while condemning the incident, asked that under which rule and constitution did the government took such measures. He also said that expressed political immaturity by attacking innocent and peaceful people.
