KARACHI: Sindh Local Government Minister and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) senior leader Nasir Hussain Shah said that PPP is ‘in contact’ with Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) over the Karachi Mayor election, ARY News reported.
As per details, PPP’s Nasir Shah that the senior leadership will decide the matters regarding the Mayor of Karachi because every leader of the party is qualified for mayorship.
He lambasted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) saying that their politics revolves around one person, they dissolved both provincial assemblies and attacked the military instalments on May 9 because of the PTI chairman.
Earlier, Sindh Minister for Labour and Information, Saeed Ghani said that the PPP have nine members if the PTI and Jamaat Islami join hands, ARY News reported.

“We didn’t seek support from the PTI, we are being blamed for arresting the PTI members to prevent them from vote,” Saeed Ghani, PPP Karachi President said in a media talk.
He said that the majority of PTI members had earlier clarified that they would not vote for Jamaat Islami. They also said that the PPP’s mayor will be in a better position to address the problems of Karachi, the People’s Party leader said. “They said they won’t give their shoulders to the JI,” Ghani said.
