Bollywood actress Preity Zinta was saddened to hear the demise of Dina Wadia – the daughter of Pakistan’s founding father Mohammad Ali Jinnah – who passed away on Thursday at her residence in New York aged 98.

The Bollywood actress was blown away when she met Dina Wadia back in 2008 for first time, reported an Indian Newspaper.

“The first time I met her, I stared at her open mouthed. My goodness, she carries so much history within her!” Zinta had stated in an interview to the newspaper.

The Dil Chahta Hai actress then spoke highly of Dina

as she said: “Each time I’m struck by her gentle demeanour, her classic elegance, and yes, her fragility.”

Zinta was also struck by Dina’s unmistakable facial resemblance to her illustrious father (Jinnah). “I’ve never seen two people who resemble each other so closely,” the actress had then told the interviewer.

The only child of Pakistan’s founder was born on August 15, 1919 and came to Pakistan twice in her lifetime. First on the death of Quaid and then in 2004, during a Pakistan and India Cricket Match, Dina arrived in the country founded by her father and visited Quaid’s mausoleum,
