President invites Turkish businessmen to tap Pakistan’s favourable investment climate

ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi has invited Turkish businessmen to take advantage of the favourable investment climate in Pakistan.

He was talking to Turkish Ambassador to Islamabad Ihsan Mustafa Yurdakul who called on him on Monday.

The president said Turkish companies had invested immensely in energy and infrastructure projects in Pakistan.

“Both the countries are intertwined in deep and historical bonds, which are not only brotherly but mutually beneficial as well,” he further said.

He said both the countries had strong defence ties as well.

The president and the ambassador hoped that mutual relations would further deepen and broaden with the possibility of further high level contacts in near future.

Earlier in a statement in September, Turkish Foreign Minister Cavusoglu, on behalf of his government, extended full support to Pakistan to create more economic opportunities.

Cavusoglu reiterated Turkey’s full support to Pakistan government’s future plans to take the country on a rapid course of economic progress, developments and creating greater opportunities for the people of Pakistan, especially its vibrant youth.
