Prince Charles visits PM Nawaz, ‘gifts honey for faster recovery’

According to details, Prince Charles today arrived at PM Sharif’s residence located in Park Lane to inquire about his well-being after having undergone a cardiac surgery late last month.

He presented the Pakistan premier with a bouquet and inquired about his health on behalf of the Queen.

“He (Prince) said he wanted to come as a friend,” wrote PM’s daughter, Maryam Nawaz in her tweet. “Prince Charles brought for the PM, honey from the gardens of Clarence House, saying it will help him recover fast as Pakistan needs him.”

On the occasion, Prime Minister Sharif thanked Prince Charles for the honey, according to Maryam, and told him that Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said honey has healing properties.

On May 31, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif underwent a successful open-heart surgery at London’s Harley Street Clinic and was shifted to ICU. He was discharged from the hospital after five days.

The PM appeared fit and healthy as he walked out of hospital towards his car, accompanied by his sons, Hussain Nawaz and Hassan Nawaz, and wife Kulsoom Nawaz.
