Preparations for the opening ceremony are in full swing as PSL management, ground staff and players from all five franchises namely Karachi Kings, Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators and Lahore Qalandars are giving their 100 percent to make the first edition of the cricketing league a major success.
A colorful opening ceremony will take place before the high-voltage action kicks off. National and international celebrities such as Ali Zafar, Sean Paul, Ali Azmat, Mohib Mirza and Sanam Saeed will perform in the ceremony before the opening match of the league.

Ali Zafar said that he was hoping that a great display shall be put on ground tomorrow, not just on the stage as a performance but followed by a great match later on.
Paul jokingly said that he hoped that his energy was sufficient to start the tournament.
The two singers expressed optimism that the tournament will be a huge hit.
