Pulse imports decreased by 39 percent

Islamabad: In current fiscal year’s first quarter July to September 2013 the production of pulses in the country has increased rapidly due to which in three months the import of pulses have been decreased by 39 percent.

According to Pakistan

Bureau of Statistics, in current fiscal year’s first three months 1, 16,685 tons of pulses worth 75 million dollars were imported, whereas, in the previous year’s same time period 1, 73,199 tons pulses worth 123 million dollars were imported.
