LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Women Development Ashifa Riaz Fatyana on Tuesday visited the Punjab Commission on the Status of Women and inspected the arrangements for their Job Asaan project, ARY News reported.
The minister met the team and career experts working for the PCSW model initiative and appreciated their efforts and contribution for women development.
The minister was briefed about the initiative by the chairperson PCSW Fouzia Viqar.
Fouzia Viqar told the minister that Job Asaan invites industry experts to come talk to women, to help them choose careers, and evaluate ways to deal with industry challenges.
She
informed the minister that the project also offers training to its beneficiaries to enhance job related skills. Trainings target particular skills that the beneficiaries need to find jobs, to maintain jobs, and to perform well at them.Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that a conducive atmosphere should be developed for women in every field so that she could play their role with full confidence and courage.
Ashifa Riaz Fatyana added that 50 percent of the population comprises of women and it is of utmost importance that they play an equally effective part in the labour force.
