KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Friday nabbed eight suspects during raids in different areas of Karachi, ARY News reported.
The captured suspects include a member of the Gang War, a street criminal and others.
The spokesperson for the paramilitary force said the Gang War’s extortionist Shahid Iqbal was arrested from Kalri, Lyari. He said six suspected professional criminals were nabbed from Awami Colony, Frere Road, Ferozabad and Garden.
The Sindh Rangers spokesman said one suspect allegedly belonging to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London, Mumtaz Siddiqui, was arrested from Korangi.
He said illegal weapons and narcotics were recovered from possession of the suspects. He said they were handed over to police for legal action.

On April 22, Sindh Rangers had rounded up two outlaws in various raids in Karachi.
According to the Rangers spokesperson, the raids were conducted in areas of New Karachi and Gulistan-e-Jauhar on a tip-off and two suspects involved in dacoities and street crimes were apprehended.
The arrested suspects were identified as Farhan Hussain alias ‘Kala’ and Muhammad Furqan alias ‘Dabay’.
“Both the suspects were wanted in a dacoity in New Karachi on April 1st”, the Rangers spokesperson had said.
Later, the aforesaid accused were handed over to the local police for further probe against them.
In a separate action, last week, the paramilitary forces had arrested seven suspects involved in robberies and street crimes.
