Veteran actor Resham is known for cinema-reviving movies like Jeeva and Sangam and her successful foray into the 90s drama industry in the presence of heavyweights.

The actress was in news for her comments about Imran Khan’s ex-wife Reham Khan, something she clarified the very other day, but if one visits her Instagram, one sees she has great fondness for good Urdu poetry.

The actress, unlike others in the industry, not only loves poetry but also shares her poetry-recitals on Instagram.

born poetess, Parveen Shakir is considered one of the finest to grace the genre. She started writing at an early age and published her first volume of poetry, Khushbu [Fragrance], to great acclaim, in 1976.

She subsequently published other volumes of poetry namely Sad-barg [Marsh Marigold] in 1980, Khud Kalami [Talking To Oneself] and Inkaar [Denial] in 1990, Kaf-e-Aina [The Mirror’s Edge] besides a collection of her newspaper columns, titled Gosha-e-Chashm [Corner of the Eye], and was awarded one of Pakistan’s highest honours, the Pride of Performance for her outstanding contribution to literature in 1976.
