Fog continued engulfing Islamabad, Rawalpindi and various parts of Punjab and caused disruptions to flight operations.
Authorities informed that fog reduced visibility to zero in several cities including Peshawar, Multan, Lodhran, Khanewal and Sahiwal.
The severe wave of cold coupled with the fog and chilly winds made the conditions frigid. Citizens remained holed up in their homes to avoid the temperature.
Flight operations at Peshawar airport were also affected. While 35 flights at Benazir Bhutto International Airport were delayed.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), weather would be cold and dry in next five days while thick fog would blanket parts of Punjab, Peshawar and upper Sindh.
Minimum temperature touched 3 degree centigrade in Islamabad. Skardu experienced the highest minimum temperature with -13 degree centigrade and Diamar with -7 degree centigrade.
