Being a Bollywood star kid and granddaughter to veteran actor Sharmila Tagore and Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi – last Nawab of the princely state of Pataudi – Khan said that she had a pretty normal childhood and upbringing and does not consider herself a royal princess.

In a recent promotional outing with an Indian tabloid for her upcoming film ‘Gaslight’, the actor said, “I find it ridiculous when people think that. I don’t associate myself as a royal.”
“I’ve lived in Juhu in Mumbai most of my life with my mother. I go to Bandra to meet my dad. I holiday in Himachal Pradesh and Kedarnath and Jammu and Kashmir. Like seriously, I don’t know what royal means,” said the ‘Kedarnath’
debutante.It is pertinent to mention here that her parents, actors Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, parted ways in 2004. Sara and her brother Ibrahim were brought up by their mother.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Khan has a packed slate with ‘Gaslight’, ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’, and ‘Murder Mubarak’ in addition to untitled projects by Laxman Utekar and Jagan Shakti.
The murder mystery, ‘Gaslight’, starring Sara Ali Khan with Vikrant Massey and Chitrangada Singh, is set to premiere on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar on March 31.
