Saudi Arabia extends Eid Holidays to 15 Shawwal

RIYDAH: Saudi Arabia has extended Eid-ul-Fitr holidays by a week and the Kingdom will celebrate the festival till 15 Shawwal, ARY News reported.

“Emanating from the wish of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to facilitate for citizens, and as the holiday of Eid Al-Fitr ends on Saturday, 7/10/ 1438H, he directed to extend the holiday of Eid Al-Fitr for all employees of the government sector and start work on Sunday, 15/10/1438 AH,” said report by Saudi Press Agency.

The announcement means government employees in the Kingdom will start work form July 9 instead of July 1.
