ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Mian Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that his party only joined the assemblies to record its protest against “the rigging and manipulation” of July 25 general elections, ARY News reported.
In a tweet posted on his Twitter account, the PML-N president maintained that his party’s parliamentarians will make sure that all rigging instances are duly probed and the people’s mandate is safeguarded.
“We will play our role to strengthen democratic traditions and uphold the civilian supremacy,” wrote Shehbaz.

It is pertinent to note here that PML-N, the former ruling party, has failed to form government even in Punjab province after losing majority in Center and Punjab to rival Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
