Azeem was heading the Aviation Division, his spokesperson commenting on the resignation said that Shujaat Azeem had accepted the post of aviation advisor as an honor and for that he acquired no salary or perks.
Azeem while tendering his resignation cited restrictions imposed by the apex court.
The SC barred Shujaat Azeem from participation in Aviation Division affairs after a petition filed by pilots’ union challenging his appointment.
Azeem, however, vowed to face allegations against him in the court and prove them wrong.
