Shujaat Hussain asks political parties to set aside differences

The head of Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q), Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Friday stated that the political differences should be put aside and all the politicians have to sit together for the wider interest of Pakistan, ARY News reported.

Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain chaired an advisory meeting on the political crisis, in which he stated that the country cannot bear the burden of the division of its institutions. He said that creating possibilities out of impossibilities is the speciality of serious and intelligent political leaders.

The meeting was attended by Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and Chaudhry Shafay Hussain.

The

participants discussed the current political situation and decided to start the process of distributing party tickets for the upcoming elections in Punjab.  Meanwhile, a four-member negotiation committee was also formed which consist of Chaudhry Sarwar, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Chaudhry Salik, and Chaudhry Shafay for reconciliation purposes.

Expressing his views after the meeting, Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that the PML-Q is in favour that elections should be held across the country on the same day, as delaying elections will only exacerbate the political crisis.

He also stated that the party tickets for Punjab’s elections will soon be collected by the election commission. The party is in the process of organizing itself, with well-known political personalities joining in.
