The police stated that an oil tanker and cargo loaded truck collided after which a blaze broke out in both vehicles.
The incident took place near Nooriabad due to allegedly rash driving and over speeding.
A fire brigade and rescue team arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire after three hours of efforts.
The injured were immediately sent to hospital where one of them is in critical condition.
Two charred bodies were also recovered which were sent to a medical facility for identification purposes.
