Khusro Bakhtiar
Khusro Bakhtiar is a Pakistani Politician who is serving as a member of the National Assembly while being attached to the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf 2018. He is the president of Janoobi Punjab Soba Mahaz which later merged with PTI. He was born on 7th July 1969 in Rahim Yar Khan. Currently, he still resides there from where he also contests the Elections. He graduated from the University of Punjab in 1990, and received an LLB (Hons.) degree in 1994 from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bar-at-Law degree from Lincoln’s Inn United Kingdom in 1995.
His career in politics began when he decided to join pakistan muslim league (Q) in 2002. He was given the ticket to contest elections in that same year . Being his first experience in the elections , he was remarkably able to win by beating his rival candidates and thus became a member of national assembly .He also became the minister of state for foreign affairs.
In the next elections , in 2008, it came as no surprise when he was given the ticket to contest in the elections. PmL Q was disappointed this time around as he wasn’t able to defeat his rival this time around and couldn’t secure his place in the National assembly. Due to his previous success , in 2013 when he again won the election in NA 194 , it didn’t come as a surprise to anyone and thus he retained his seat as the member of National assembly by representing PML-N. He also won the provincial assembly seat in the same elections.
