Mohammad Amir

Mohammad Amir was sort of Wasim Akram’s déjà vu in Pakistan cricket team, and once with outshining the big guns of the cricketing world, he roared as the next big thing in this game of gentleman.

Born in 13 the April 1992, Gujjar Khan, Punjab. Amir was the second youngest of seven children of his family and was born in Chohan tribe of Gujjar family. Amir from his childhood played street cricket, his favorite bowler is Wasim Akram he often trying to emulate his hero, Amir said that Wasim Akram is his idol.

Amir was spotted as a prospect by Wasim Akram at a fast bowling camp in 2007, as Wasim Akram remarked that Amir was a much clever fast bowler then he was at the age of 18 years. In 2008 Amir made his domestic career debut for the Rawalpindi Rams and concurrently representing the NBP-National Bank of Pakistan. In his domestic debut, he took 55 first-class wickets for National Bank of Pakistan.

In August 2018, he was one of thirty-three players to be awarded a central contract for the 2018–19 season by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). On 26th July 2019, he announced his retirement from Test cricket in order to focus on limited overs cricket.
