National Institute of Child Health (NICH)

National Institute of Child Health (NICH) first multi-story children hospital for Karachi was approved in 1965 due to indo-Pakistan war the project got delayed 5 years after the completion of construction the building was a part Jinnah post-graduation and medical hospital (JPMC) later in 1979 General Zia-ul-Haq paid a visit to the constructed building in Jinnah hospital and at the request of the senior staff it was declared as the National Institute of Child Health (NICH). In 1990 NICH got separated from JPMC.

The hospital consists hundreds of beds yearly thousands of patient are treated successfully. Hospital is also being supported by multiple organization who donate medical facilities and money for the treatment of the children. OAKS is the biggest donor of NICH OAKS has donated multiple medical equipment including expensive medical machines.
