Target killer confesses to killing Lyari gangsters

KARACHI: An alleged target killer of a political party has confessed to killing two members of Lyari Gang War, ARY News reported.

ARY News has obtained the footage of the target killer, Anwar, in which he confessed to killing on orders of his party officials. He said he was well-acquainted with operating 44 bore rifle and TT pistol.

On the other hand, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of police Saturday arrested three alleged criminals belonging to military wing of a political party and recovered huge cache of arms from them during a raid in Jaffar e Tayyar Society of Malir.

The criminals include a joint unit in-charge of the political party and his two accomplices, namely Anwaar Hussain alias Waqas, Asif Mumtaz alias Meer and Khurram Shehryar alias Lamba.

During media briefing, SSP CTD Umer Shahid said the raid was conducted on a tip-off. The criminals were off to hide arms in a cemetery on fear of the ongoing anti-terrorists operations, he added.

“On seeing the criminals, police resorted to firing and arrested them through besieging tactic,” he said.

The criminals have also confessed to killing three persons.

 

Six Kalashnikovs, one LMG, six repeater rifles, five TT pistols, two 7mm rifles and scores of rounds were recovered from their possession. While, further interrogation from the arrested criminals is underway.
