KARACHI: Gulistan-i-Jauhar and adjoining areas of Karachi were jolted on Tuesday morning with minor earthquake, ARY News reported.
The residents of the area felt tremors this morning and came out of their homes, offices and shops in the area after the quake.
According to reports, tremors also felt in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulzar Hijri, North Karachi, North Nazimabad and Sohrab Goth.
According to the seismological centre the epicentre of the quake, which lasts for 10 seconds, was Karachi, having 3.6 intensity at the depth of 12 kilometers.
The area also housing major educational institutions of the city. The students who were attending classes at the University of Karachi and NED University came out of their classrooms after the jolts.
