Speaking to media on Wednesday, PCB Chairman Shahryar Khan said that Umar Akmal has apologized to the management over his behavior.
“Akmal has rendered an apology to the board over his discipline problems and promised us that he will not repeat the mistakes,” Khan said.
Answering a question, the chairman of the Pakistani cricket board added that Mohammad Hafeez was dropped from the playing XI in the Oval Test due to his poor performance with the bat.
Khan said, “Hafeez is a senior player. He can bat at No.3 and 4 up the batting order.”
The cricket board’s chairman went on to say that he is also willing to talk to batsman Ahmed Shehzad.
