The case took a dramatic turn as the claimant Sohail Afzal retracted from his statement in the ATC.
Afzal in his statement submitted in the ATC mentioned none of the accused including Mustafa Kanju. He stated that he was present at the site of incident, but he does not know the name of suspects.
The court while granting permitting prosecution to cross-examine the claimant adjourned the hearing till August 20.
On April 2, Mustafa Kanju – son of former federal minister Siddique Kanju – had shot dead Zain, 16, after a petty argument over a car accident in Lahore.
