ISLAMABAD: Asif Ali Zardari has left for Karachi from Islamabad on Thursday as the report of Joint Investigation Team (JIT), formed to probe into mega money laundering scam, point outs the name of a political bigwig from Sindh, sources reported.
As per details, the Supreme Court received the JIT report today, which comprises over 7500 pages and more than a dozen volumes highlighting the involvement of a key politician from Sindh in money-laundering through fake bank accounts, sources said.
On the other hand, sources informed that the Pakistan Peoples Party has devised a strategy to deal with the critical scenario as Zardari departed from the federal capital for Karachi as soon as the report was presented before the court.
The report submitted in the apex court also complained that the government of Sindh didn’t extend satisfactory cooperation to the investigation team.
The PPP in its reaction over the JIT report, stated that preparations are underway to take revenge from the former president and his family, moreover, the party leadership and its workers are geared up to handle any kind of situation.
Sources further shared, the PPP may give a call for the countrywide protests on the expected arrest of their party co-chairman.
It is pertinent to mention here that, Supreme Court had constituted a six-member joint investigation team to investigate the case.
