Zardari hits back at Altaf, terms his statements 'non-serious'

In response to Altaf Hussain’s speech, Asif Ali Zardari said that ‘leveling allegations and making non-serious statements every now and then do not suit the MQM supremo’.

In a statement issued by Senator Farhatullah Babar, it was said that Peoples Party always abode by the promises made with Muttahida, and tried to take along everyone be it federal government or provincial.

The statement quoted the former president saying that he always laid two conditions in talks with MQM: There will be no discussion on division of Sindh and that Karachi should be made a peaceful city.

“MQM’s negative politics will harm itself and that it should enter into national mainstream and work for the prosperity of Pakistan and Sindh,” it added.
